610 North Closed After Two Car Accident

January 4, 2006

An accident in Bellaire sent four people to the hospital on Tuesday. A collision between a car and a sport utility vehicle sent one vehicle flying into the guardrail on 610.

The accident took place near the Fournace Place Exit on the 610 West Loop at approximately 2:15 a.m.

Police closed all the lanes headed north for about an hour in order to clean and investigate.

Drivers were seen driving off the entrance ramp in order to go around the accident scene.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the accident as well as determining if alcohol was a factor.

The conditions of the victims were not available at this time.
