Accident Kills Man, Injures Woman
Steven Wayne Bell, a 34-year-old Granbury man, has been identified as the one fatality in an accident that occurred seven miles west of Springtown in Parker County. A woman was also critically injured in the accident on Monday afternoon.
The woman has been identified as Theresa Ziddel, who was the passenger in Bell's car. Ziddel was rushed to a Fort Worth hospital with critical injuries, said a spokesman from the State troopers
According to a spokesman from the Department of Public Safety, Bell was headed south on Old Agnes Road when the accident occurred. At the intersection with Texas 199, Bell failed to yield her 1985 Toyota and collided with another car.
Bell was turning east around 3:20 p.m. when it was hit on the driver's side by an 18-wheeler.
The truck driver was not injured in the accident.
Investigators are trying to determine if the truck driver was speeding.
