Alcohol Suspected As Factor In Accident Involving Police

Investigators believe that a driver may have been drunk when he was involved in an accident with two police vehicles.

According to police, the driver was in a white pickup when he pulled in front of the police cars coming from the opposite direction. The accident occurred at the intersection of N. Shepherd and N. Victory.

One of the officers sustained minor bumps and bruises but was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital as a precaution.

Police believe that the driver of the truck was drinking prior to the accident.
