4-year-old In Fiery Crash Sunday Dies

March 6, 2006

A 4-year-old girl injured Sunday in a fiery crash in Cleburne died Tuesday night, a Cleburne police official said.

Akala Murray, communications superviser said that police were notified at 8:30 p.m. that Cassidy Jarmon has been pronounced dead at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.

Her 21-month-old sister remained in critical condition.

The girls' mother, Jennifer Jarmon, was driving the girls in a jeep Sunday afternoon in the 1900 block of South Main Street when it was struck from behind by a car driven by a 69-year-old Cleburne man, police said. The jeep then burst into flames.

Murray said Tuesday night that the cause of the crash remained under investigation.
